PANTHERS MEN’S BASKETBALL ADDS USPORTS TRANSFER ISAAC LOPEZ

North Bay, ON - The Canadore Panthers Men's Basketball program is pleased to announce the commitment of 5'10" combo guard Isaac Lopez of London, Ontario.

Lopez joins the Panthers after being a member of the Nipissing University men's basketball program, bringing valuable experience and leadership to a young Canadore roster. A versatile guard capable of impacting the game in multiple ways, Lopez arrives with a reputation for toughness, energy, and a team-first mentality.

During his high school career, Lopez averaged 26 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals per game while establishing himself as one of the top offensive players in his region. He was a North Pole Hoops league champion and led his high school league in three-point shooting.

"Being part of a U SPORTS program, I learned a lot from the older guys, and I'm ready to help our young team in any situation," said Lopez. "I can lead a team in many aspects of the game whether it be scoring, playmaking, or doing all the little things like taking charges, diving for loose balls, and defending."

Lopez describes himself as a high-energy competitor who is willing to do whatever is necessary to help his team succeed.

"I'm a high-energy player, a team-first guy, and a winner," Lopez added. "I do whatever it takes to win, and I'm ready to bring that intensity to the next level."

Head Coach Bill Crowdis believes Lopez's experience and offensive ability will make an immediate impact on the Panthers program.

"Isaac adds another punch of scoring at the guard position," said Crowdis. "He's crafty with the basketball, can really shoot it from the perimeter, and shows great composure under pressure. His time with the Nipissing University program gives him a maturity that will benefit our young group, and his willingness to do all the little things that help teams win makes him a valuable addition to our program."

Lopez becomes another important addition to the Panthers' recruiting class as Canadore continues to build a competitive and hard-working roster for the upcoming season.
